Moselyn Sandy
My name is Moselyn Sandy, and I'm a Fine Artist based in New Castle, Delaware. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, where I focused on drawing, painting, and visual storytelling. Art has been a constant part of my life, and teaching allows me to share that joy with others.

As an instructor, I focus on helping beginners and experienced artists feel confident, relaxed, and inspired. My style is patient, encouraging, and hands-on — I guide students step-by-step while giving them the freedom to express themselves.

I work in several mediums, including watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, charcoal, urban sketching, and more. I love helping people understand art concepts in simple, enjoyable ways that make creativity feel accessible to everyone.

My goal is for every student to leave class feeling proud of their work, supported, and excited to keep creating.

Title or Location: Peace on the Camino Trail
This watercolor painting was inspired by a photograph taken by my aunt during her 500 mile journey along the Camino de Santiago last spring. The scene captures a quiet stretch of the trail near the town or Arneguy on the border of France as she made her way into Spain.I created this piece to honor both the physical and emotional journey of the Camino, a path known not only for its distance, but for the reflection and sense of peace it often brings. The winding trail, soft light, and grazing

My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

Title or Location: Balnagask golf course
I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
